Keep the task simple on the list, then open details when you need context.

A practical task manager for daily work.

Track small projects, client follow-ups, content plans, home repairs, recurring responsibilities, admin work, and team lists without making every task wear a suit.

Status and priority

Every task can have a status and priority level. Use them in list view, or switch to Board when moving cards feels clearer than reading a long list.

Five views, same tasks

Switch between List, Board, Calendar, Planner, and Matrix depending on the question: what is due, what is blocked, what matters, or what fits this week.

Details when needed

Add notes, subtasks, comments, tags, colors, files, durations, start dates, deadlines, and recurrence only when useful. A simple task can stay simple.

Built to stay readable as work grows.

Common questions

Is OnlyList a free task manager?

Yes. The free plan covers lists, tasks, subtasks, due dates, reminders, notes, comments, tags, priority levels, status tracking, smart views, dark mode, and data export. No credit card required. Premium adds sync across devices, Board, Calendar, Planner, Matrix, sharing, and cloud backup.

Can I track task status like In progress or Blocked?

Yes. Each task has a status field: Not started, In progress, Waiting, Blocked, and Review. You can see these on cards in list view, or move tasks through them visually in Board view where each column represents a stage.

Can I attach files to tasks?

Yes, file attachments are a Premium feature. Attach documents, images, screenshots, or any file directly to a task. They stay connected to the task wherever it appears across list, board, calendar, and planner views.

Does it work for both work and personal tasks?

Yes. Create separate folders for Work, Personal, and Home and color-code them so lists stay visually distinct. Smart views like Inbox, Today, and Focus show tasks across all folders together, so you never lose sight of personal tasks while managing work ones.

What views are available?

List, Board (kanban with custom columns), Calendar (week and month), Planner (weekly drag-and-drop), and Eisenhower Matrix. Smart views include Inbox, Today, Tomorrow, Next 7 days, Overdue, Focus, Starred, Someday, and Review. Switch freely; all views show the same tasks.
